Face-to-face contact when additional support is needed
The Details
Learners vary in their ability to access the clinical contact needed to acquire the necessary skills to complete the course successfully. For those with unrestricted access in their work environment, the course can be fully online with evidence of their acquisition of required skills submitted through our learning platform “WeLearn”. For those with very limited or no access, we offer them the opportunity to develop their practical skills with our faculty. Please note, that clinical contact sessions incur additional fees.
At the present time, we offer simulation training at our head office in Cardiff and have arrangements with local training centres to offer you practical experience [Cardiff Based Study]. We are continually exploring opportunities to partner with other healthcare organisations in the UK and overseas to be our training centres. If you are working in the UK, we can liaise with your local supervisor.
Arranging face-to-face training is easy. Time on the simulator in Cardiff can be booked through our administrative staff and is very flexible. Clinical sessions must be arranged well in advance as we need to recruit suitable patients for training purposes and by mutual agreement with our faculty. We can offer training sessions in general medical, obstetric and gynaecology ultrasound.
At the time of applying for the course, you will need to inform us that you wish to have face-to-face sessions. We will then assess your educational and training needs and advise you of the approximate costs. We can also plan your sessions to reflect our instructors’ availability and your availability. Please note that we will not refund the fees if you fail to attend or cancel these sessions at short notice.
