Specialists And International

We are equally committed to keeping the costs of our courses low for all of our students and to being competitive with others in the field. Our commitment is always to offer you value for money in your professional development education.

Tuition Fees

As a postgraduate part-time student, the tuition fees you are charged will depend on the course you are undertaking. Some courses will incur costs additional to the course fee. Our fees include access to our virtual learning environment “WeLearn”, student handbooks, study materials except e-books, sitting in-course quizzes and the end-of-module knowledge exam, your tutor and mentor support, and the administration team. E-books and the sitting end-of-module practical exams will incur additional fees.

We will be very happy to provide you with supporting letters. We also offer 5% discount to standard fee paying students if you apply, are accepted, and pay the full fees before the 15th January for March intake or 15th July for September intake. We will also offer you a 5% discount if you return to study with us. Discounts are only available to students who pay the full fees.

More Details…

Simulation Practice

Our state-of-the-art “ScanTrainer” simulator offers full obstetrics, gynaecology and general medical ultrasound training. ScanTrainer modules are designed to support you whether you are a complete novice or have been practising scanning but without having had formal training. The ScanTrainer’s vast image library offer you the opportunity to expand your knowledge of uncommon and rare pathology. UK and overseas students are eligible for 30 hours of free training per module.

Hands-on Training With Patients

If you are working in a healthcare facility with limited or no hands-on experience with patients, we are able to offer you training sessions supervised by our experienced sonographers. These sessions will be made available after you successfully complete simulation training of the basic ScanTrainer modules and will help you collect case studies for your course assignments. These training sessions will incur extra fees to cover the trainer’s time and recruitment of volunteers.

Practical Exams

Your end-of-module practical exams will be undertaken on the ScanTrainer simulator and will include a number of case scenarios to demonstrate the depth and breadth of your skills and practical knowledge. If you have not used the simulator previously, you must come before the exam and familiarise yourself with its operation. There will be a fee to sit the practical exam in order to cover examiners’ time commitments.

Practical Exams With Patients

Some UK employers have requested that practical exams include real-life case scenarios with patients for additional demonstration of competency and governance purpose. Through our partnership with local healthcare centres, we are able to accommodate, in the UK only, such requests from employers or indeed students who voluntarily wish to have this additional exam. Exam fees will apply to cover examiners’ time commitments and recruitment of patient volunteers.
