Minimising The Stress Of Exams
International exams aim to help you achieve your goals with minimal disruption to your work commitments and family life, and avoid the cost of travel to the UK
For many international students, travel to the UK and its associated costs are prohibitive. With our skill-oriented online courses, you will realise your ambitions without having to travel to the UK. However, it is absolutely essential to demonstrate your skills in exams for certification credibility. Our solution has been to introduce overseas Exams Centres, such as our centre in the UAE. Naturally, students are very welcome to take their exams at our headquarters in Cardiff, should they wish to do so.
The international exam and its standards are identical to those we undertake in the UK
We use ultrasound simulation for our UK and overseas exams
International exam fees cover a small proportion of the cost of international travel, examiners fees, and hire of venue and simulation equipment. If you are sitting more than two modules in the same exam period, we will offer you 5% discount of the total cost. In the UK, our exam periods are in February and August of each year. In the UAE, currently our only international exam centre, we endeavour to run the exams during March and September, subject to student numbers and circumstances permitting.
Practical exam fees are paid in US Dollars as this is the currency that we pay our venue hire. The fee is for each individual module and must be paid well in advance of the exam date. We generally prefer to finalise the date of international exam at least 6 months before the event. This gives us ample time to book the venue. If you are unfortunate and have to resit the practical exam, similar fees and rules apply. As in the UK, there’s a resit fee for the final knowledge exam.
You can call us to pay online or arrange payment by bank transfer. We also accept major credit and debit cards with the exception of Amex. If you are paying by bank transfer from overseas, there are usually bank charges at both ends, which are your responsibility. We need to receive your payment in full, so please discuss this with your bank who will advise you on the amount of charges and ways to pay for both ends. Ensure that we receive the full amount.
