What is the eligibility criteria to join the ultrasound training program?
You are required to; be a healthcare professional, be in practice for two or more years in a relevant specialty and have access to high speed internet. It is also important to have the support of your employer.
I am a nurse, can I still join the learning community?
Yes! Our philosophy is to, support the development of all healthcare professionals through membership of the “learning community exchange” and encourage interaction between them to benefit patient care.
What is the deadline for applying for the ultrasound course?
The first intake deadline is 1st March and the second is 1st September. You can apply now by completing an online application form and then registering with the learning community, free of charge.
How are students assessed on the ultrasound courses?
Our online medical courses have in-course ‘single best answer’ quizzes, on-line discussions, assignments, and a final theory and practical exam. For clinical modules, students will be required to submit summative and reflective practice assignments from their workplace.
How often can I use the simulator if I sign up to one of your ultrasound courses?
It is available from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, subject to availability. You can use the simulator as much as you need to acquire your skills in ultrasound!
