UAE students. A warm welcome to all our students in the Middle East and the Gulf. We always endeavour to enhance your learning experience with us by bringing our faculty to you. We will help you develop your practical and communication skills and in readiness for your exams.
Hands-on Training
UAE is geographically a central location and is easily accessible [UAE Info]. So, we are delighted to offer our students in the region intensive hands-on simulation training, subject to sufficient number of students registering for this activity, which is restricted to students who have registered on our course in Cardiff. We cover general medical, obstetrics, gynaecology and early pregnancy ultrasound skills. Our students based in Iran, India, Pakistan and South Asia can also attend. We do not include lectures as they are covered by the module. Fees are applicable.
Students train in small groups of 2 or 3 under the supervision of experts and using state of the art simulation technology.
Practical Exams
Practical exams in all specialities can be arranged with our partners in the United Arab Emirates. Course examiners from the UK as well as local faculty take part in this exercise. The exams are carried out to the exact standards as those taken in the UK and are organised twice a year, March and September. They are designed to minimise disruption to our students’ work and family commitments. Students from Iran, India, Pakistan and South Asia are encouraged to take their exams in the UAE. Dr Hasan Ali, from Kurdistan, Iraq successfully completed his practical exams in four ultrasound modules; General Medical, Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy and graduated with distinction.
Dr Manjula Reddy, specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the UAE sat her obstetric module practical exams and completed it successfully.
At EndoDubai 2019, we took part in an exciting pre-congress practical course focussed on ultrasound diagnosis of deep infiltrating endometriosis. Participating faculty were from Italy, UK, Malta and the UAE.
