Description
Andrology for Clinicians International focuses on the academic (knowledge) domain of developing your core knowledge in this field. This course is fundamentally critical to develop your practice in subfertility and reproductive medicine. We have aligned the structure and syllabus of this programme with other professional bodies. These include the RCOG, BFS and ESHRE.
In Term 1, which lasts 12 weeks, you will develop your core knowledge and skills. We will facilitate your learning with lectures, e-books links, videos, and carefully selected open source learning material. In addition, we expect that you develop the following skills, (a) appraise a full clinical history and undertake a thorough assessment of the male partner; and (b) describe and communicate to patients the normal anatomy, hormonal regulation of spermatogenesis.
In Term 2 of andrology for clinicians international, you will develop your knowledge of complex topics and professional attributes required in your practice. During Term 1 and Term 2 you will undertake four short quizzes (two at each term) for assessment of knowledge. Ultimately, you conclude the academic domain with a final knowledge exam.
Successful completion of Online Exams of three courses, two of which must be in the core category will lead to a “Professional Certificate in Subfertility and Reproductive Medicine”.
Furthermore, when future circumstances permit, you may apply to join the practical course and submit for faculty review representative images of common male sub- or infertility case scenarios identified during diagnostic tests e.g. ultrasound image of hydrocele or testicular mass, or normal/abnormal semen analysis reports, and reflections on cases encountered in your own practice. Additionally, if appropriate to your role, you will utilise the above skills to formulate a plan of action. You will conclude the practical domain with an assessment of your practical skills using our state of the art simulators. Moreover, successful completion of three courses including practical exams will lead to the Professional Diploma in Subfertility and Reproductive Medicine.
