Description
Fundamentals in Human Reproduction International focuses on the academic (knowledge) domain of developing your core knowledge in this field. It will start with an initial study period of 12 weeks. In Term 1, you will develop your core knowledge and skills. We will facilitate your learning with lectures, e-books links, videos, and carefully selected open source learning material. During this stage you will be expected to develop the following skills; (a) appraise a full clinical history and undertake a thorough assessment of the female partner; and (b) describe and communicate to patients the normal anatomy, hormonal regulation of the menstrual cycle, and ovulation.
In Term 2, of fundamentals of human reproduction international, you will continue to develop your knowledge of complex topics and professional attributes required in subfertility and reproductive medicine practice. During Term 1 and Term 2 you will undertake four short quizzes (two at each term) for assessment of knowledge. Ultimately, you conclude the academic domain with a final knowledge exam.
Successful completion of Online Exams of three courses, two of which must be in the core category will lead to a “Professional Certificate in Subfertility and Reproductive Medicine”.
Furthermore, when future circumstances permit, you may apply to join the practical course and submit for faculty review representative images or case scenarios relevant to the course. Additionally, if appropriate to your role, you will utilise the above skills to formulate a plan of action. You will conclude the practical domain with an assessment of your practical skills using our state of the art simulators. Moreover, successful completion of three courses including practical exams will lead to the Professional Diploma in Subfertility and Reproductive Medicine.
