Description
Advanced vascular ultrasound – Year 2 course covers additional core topics of vascular ultrasound including; imaging of upper and lower limbs arterial systems, pelvic and abdominal vessels, the superficial venous system, and advanced vascular applications.
Term 1 of this course aims to develop your knowledge and skills. Hence, there is a selection of faculty notes, e-books links, videos demonstrating key scanning techniques and carefully selected open source learning material. During this stage, you will undertake a number of online quizzes to demonstrate your retention of learned material. Following that, in Term 2, you will submit for faculty review representative images or cine loops of vascular case scenarios reflecting the above topics. If appropriate to your role, you will utilise the above skills to formulate a plan of action. At the end of the module, there will be assessments of knowledge and practical skills.
Successful completion of Imaging Science and Technology, Fundamentals of Vascular Ultrasound and Advanced Vascular Ultrasound will lead to the Professional Diploma in Practical Ultrasound.
